FAQ about Dr. Powell’s Annual Expert Lab Analysis

  • Part 1

At the first tele-health appointment Dr. Powell will review with you one on one what tests are included in the Annual Expert Lab Analysis Package.  You may also discuss and add on additional tests.  At the end of this visit you will have a lab order, and instructions for where and how to complete the lab collection.

    Part 2

The second tele-health appointment is a one on one appointment with Dr. Powell to review the tests from the Annual Expert Lab Analysis Panel.  Dr Powell will go over all of your test results in detail.  She will explain what they can tell you about your current and future state of health.  She will answer all of your questions and if you are interested, present a custom plan of nutritional supplements and herbs to address any imbalances in the lab work.

  • To schedule call the office at 223-220-2837.  Ask for the Annual Expert Lab Analysis.  Once your appointment is scheduled you will receive an email link to fill out paperwork to help Dr. Powell get a head start on understanding your unique health history, and your concerns so she can make sure the testing will address those concerns.  You will also complete a credit card authorization.  You will be billed for the entire cost of the package before your first appointment (currently $1598).  This secures your spot on the schedule.  If you would like paper copies of the forms, or to use a different form of payment you can discuss that when you schedule.  We do not offer payment plans at this time.

  • Dr. Powell works with many labs offering state of the art testing for hormones, gastrointestinal function, parasites, heavy metals and other toxins, Lyme and co-infections, and other concerns.  Dr. Powell can order testing from Labcorp, Doctors Data, Genova, Igenex, Diagnostechs, SpectraCell Laboratories, and others.  Pricing for additional labs, and any additional time that will be needed to review them would be discussed at the first visit.  If you are looking for a particular test give us a call and we can tell you if we can order it and what our cost is.

  • The current cost of the package is $1598. The cost will go up on June 1st 2025. The package includes the cost of 2 visits, Part 1 and Part 2, the 82+ lab tests, a thorough expert review of the results, and a recommended plan of supplements and herbs based on those results. It does not include the cost of any supplements or herbs.

  • For many people this is a preventative annual check up, and a chance to readjustment their supplement protocol to their changing needs.  They may only see Dr. Powell once a year.  For others who have more health challenges to tackle, this is just a part of their care.  They continue working with Dr. Powell, other health practitioners, or on their own to improve their health.  They use this yearly visit to check on their progress and spot potential problems before they get worse.

  • No. Dr. Powell does not participate with any health insurance companies. If you would like to have testing ordered by a doctor who can bill your insurance you can give them the test list, and then bring the results to Dr. Powell for review see- Can I get labs done some other way and have Dr Powell explain them to me?

  • Yes, Powell would be happy to help you review bloodwork she did not order, if it is a lab she is familiar with. You would need to schedule a brief appointment (30 minutes) and provide paper copies of all the labs you would like reviewed.  There are thousands of lab companies and Dr. Powell is familiar with many, but not all of them.  At the appointment Dr, Powell can discuss which labs she will be able to review with you and how long she would expect it to take.  Then you can schedule an appropriate amount of time for a follow up to do the review. If you have a particular test you want her to review you can call the office and we can let you know if she is familiar with it. If you are able to get the same 82 tests included in the Annual Expert Lab Analysis you can expect to pay $1176 for the 2 visits to review them.

  • Unfortunately, these states have incredibly strict rules about ordering labs.  The lab companies Dr. Powell works with do not offer services in these states.  If you live in one of these states I suggest you contact your governmental representatives about this.  The rest of the country has much freer access to lab testing that you do.
