Chemicals in clothing and personal care products Documentary and Discussion

Last month was the first Documentary and Discussion event with the Blue Ridge Summit Library.  We were pleased with how much of a success it was.  Connections were made, lessons were learned, folks found out about resources for healthy food in our neighborhood, and other local events like the Weston A. Price Potluck.  We watched Food Inc 2 and had so much to talk about that we had to move outside when the library closed!  If you missed it you can still watch Food Inc. 2 online.  Last time I checked you could rent it for $3.99 on Amazon, or if you have a Hulu subscription watch it there.

For October our film is STINK!

It follows the story of a widow who lost his wife to breast cancer and is trying to find out what the stink is in the pajamas he bought his daughters for Christmas.  The story takes you with him to uncover how industries hide dangerous chemicals in clothing, household cleaners, and personal care products, like makeup and baby wipes.

If you can, please join us October 13th at 5pm at the Blue Ridge Summit Library 13676 Monterey Lane Blue Ridge Summit, PA.

Please spread the word to anyone you think might be interested in learning more about healthy living or meeting like minded folks.

We will have a handout for homeschoolers to help make the most of the film and discussion.
